Robolife-Days with Aino Gameplay
In Robolife-Days, the player is tasked to upgrade Aino into a sufficient working robot that can carry out any task assigned to her without fail. By sending Aino to work on different jobs, you earn money which to spend on new parts and clothing pieces that are used to upgrade Aino and make her more efficient in her work.
The challenge is time management as players are given only three months of in-game time to succeed in gathering enough points to graduate before the game is over. In addition to sending Aino to work, there are events occurring on a map which to visit at a certain time of the day and day of the week. These events hold side quests that can be somewhat challenging but important to complete in order to earn more graduation points and unlock extra H-scenes.
Though Robolife-Days with Aino is a visual novel game at heart, it strikes a fine balance of light-reading and player interaction that keeps players occupied and interested from start to finish with an increasing desire to perform better in order to win at the very end.
Story
In a modern society of an unknown year, robots and androids are slowly replacing the human workforce. Many not happy about this change and at risk of losing their job, resent the robots with burning hatred in their heart. Ahroy Academy, one of the leading institutes of AI technology, in the heart of an only city more accepting of robots, is full at work graduating students who will act as pillars to show the world just how much robots can benefit mankind.
You follow the story of a young man who discovers a broken android from a dump and brings her home for repair in hopes to use this rundown old model to graduate from the robotics school of Ahroy Academy. When the android suddenly attacks without a warning, death is close but not an avoided one as this living breathing junk of metal swears to kill you unless you are able to help her recover her memories. A deal is struck between the two: Help Aino find out about her past and in return, she will help you graduate… and not kill you.
As the two of you work together and get to know each other better, it becomes increasingly clear that there is something special about Aino. A romantic love comedy is waiting to be experienced!
Robolife-Days with Aino is a silent visual novel with partial voice-acting and charming music that helps breathe life into each scene. There is a lot of static motion in which characters are not animated but despite this move a lot with a handful of facial expressions guiding their every emotion. Despite being a visual novel, there is very little text to read in this one. No scene overstays its welcome and characters often talk in short sentences that are easy to follow.
Work system
Send Aino to work on different tasks and unlock new ones as you progress through the game. Every job has three levels, each more demanding than the last stats-wise. To help Aino perform her task flawlessly, upgrade and change her clothes to fit the task at hand to boost her stats.
Work earns you money that is used to buy AI Adjusters and processing chips, as well as craft new clothes for Aino. The more money you earn, the better score you get at each month’s evaluation point, not to mention the more freedom you have to make purchases that help you get ahead.
Dress-up Aino
Aino can be dressed in different clothing, but before that, you first have to craft them. Each piece of clothing provides Aino with stats that help her perform better at different jobs. This is why it is crucial to change Aino’s clothes frequently. Different clothing parts can be mixed with each other without restrictions, sometimes to seek better stats and sometimes just for the sheer fun of it.
Clothes are not just a gimmick to boost stats to work better, but they also follow into every visual novel cutscene throughout the story. Quests often request the player to equip Aino with a specific outfit to complete them, but in case of not owning the said outfit, it first needs to be crafted which is a challenge of its own as days pass by. Do you craft the desired outfit or manage your time elsewhere…
Every crafted piece of clothing is registered to the dress-up gallery named Showroom, accessible from the main menu. Here players can enjoy Aino by dressing her in different clothes without worrying about any gameplay elements present in the story mode.
Quests
Aside from sending Aino to work, you can also spend your precious days completing side quests by helping various characters with their personal problems, displayed on a simple map with several locations of interest. The day/night cycle plays an important role in quests as characters tend to appear only during a certain time of the day and day of the week, thus making it crucial to plan when to complete them as time is of the essence.
Quests vary from asking the player to equip Aino with a specific outfit, or have a certain amount of stats, or enter a certain place at a specific time of day in order to complete them. Quests not only reward you with graduation points required to win the game but also H-scenes to enjoy.
Robolife-Days with Aino Hentai
Robolife-Days with Aino offers sexy androids in lewd situations. Though the cast of characters is only a small handful, there are a satisfying amount of little over 20 unique H-scenes provided. Among these scenes, Aino takes a more active role of being present as the main character of the game, but you also get to enjoy Niya as the second android, as well as two female human characters.
The adult content is centered around vanilla sex with mostly just pure intercourse in different locations. The scenes themselves manage to be short but sweet, never overstaying their welcome. Once a scene has been experienced in the story mode, it becomes unlocked in the H-gallery as well, which is accessible from the main menu.
In the H-gallery you are free to view CGs or replay visual novel cutscenes to your heart’s content. Due to the game’s nature of time-based progress, it is quite likely that you will not be able to unlock all the scenes in the first playthrough, so be prepared to play the game multiple times to unlock everything.
Robolife-Days with Aino was a positively surprising experience for a simple visual novel game. It provided a decent story to follow and many comedic scenes to smile at even if not able to reach a point of laughter. Though failing to graduate Ahroy Academy at the end felt a bit disheartening, I was not against the idea of playing Robolife-Days one more time, seeing as the game was quite enjoyable from start to finish with enough replay value of trying to unlock more outfits.
If you are not looking for a serious story with twists and turns but rather just something lighthearted and simple not requiring too much brainpower to think while playing, then Robolife-Days with Aino is a game easy to recommend. There are around 5 hours of story and gameplay to enjoy, potentially even more if efficient in completing quests and unlocking adult scenes.
