Taimanin Collection Battle Arena is a free-to-play erotic Gacha card collecting game with three minigames to play. Developed by Lilith, the title was released on Steam 9th of July 2020, published by Infini-Brain inc. To not confuse Taimanin Collection with “Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena” available on Nutaku, these two are not the same game.

Taimanin Collection Battle Arena Gameplay
Taimanin Collection looks like a mobile game ported to PC but surprisingly has no such version available (at least for now). While exclusive to PC, the game still heavily mimics the design of a microtransaction-heavy mobile game, only a little less aggressive when compared to many of its kind.
Providing three simple game modes to play, you get to choose between Memory card game, Obstacle course, and Jigsaw puzzle – two of which provide eye candy to feast eyes upon while playing. Though very repetitive and simple by design, all of these can be quite addicting if enjoyed in small bursts.
The motivation to play the same three game modes over and over again comes from earning gems which can be used to unlock cards featuring characters from the Taimanin universe. Not only are some of the cards lewd by nature but they also come with Hentai scenes to enjoy. Through completing the gallery by gathering well over 600 cards, one can find Taimanin Collection as an enjoyable hobby to kill time while honing their memory skills and getting rewarded for it.
Match-up card game
Taimanin Collection Battle Arena’s first and perhaps the most popular game mode is the Memory card minigame. Match two of the same kind of cards to score points and clear the table to advance to the next level before time runs out. Starting very simple at first, the game gradually grows more difficult the further the player gets.
With each new level, more cards are added to the table while given the player less time to look at cards when flipping them over. Every card can be flipped up to 5 times, meaning you have five tries to find a match for each card before they lock and require a special move to unlock them.
Special moves come in form of “Hints” that you may collect from the board by matching “Hint” cards. These are displayed in the upper right corner. When using a Hint, you can get a free match of your choosing. These are best saved for tough spots when running out of time and in situations in which cards become locked.
To gain more time, there are also “time” cards that grant extra time for the player when matched. Once time runs out, it is Game over. Your objective is to get as far as possible in the minigame or win stage 20 for the game to end.
Bridge race
Providing a simple obstacle course in which to avoid concrete barriers with a speeding motorcycle, Bridge race is Taimanin Collection Arena Battle’s second game mode.
While Taimanin Asagi speeds through a bridge with her vehicle, the player must guide her by using left and right controls to collect coins and avoid concrete barriers that slow her down.
Three hits into concrete and it is Game over, but there are hearts on the road to collect to gain more lives. Collect as many gold coins as possible while reaching the finish line to win.
Jigsaw puzzle
Last but not least, Taimanin Collection Battle arena’s final minigame is a Jigsaw puzzle in which the player tries to build sexy Taimanin characters using jigsaw puzzle pieces. There is no time limit here but the player can choose a difficulty to adjust puzzles to their liking.
Most of the jigsaw puzzles are sexy girls in erotic poses, taken from the game’s character cards. Just like in the Match-up minigame, you do not have to own character cards to get to play with them as the characters featured in the puzzles are always provided randomly from the complete gallery.
Character card gallery
Taimanin Collection Battle Arena offers its players a vast gallery of well over 600 characters waiting to be collected, with new cards being added to the game almost every month!
Within the gallery there are characters belonging to three factions; Taimanin, UFS, and Demons – many of which are familiar from the Taimanin universe. While there are character cards featuring male characters and monsters, a majority of the gallery consists of sexy females to enjoy.
From sexy demons to cute ninjas in skimpy outfits, there are all kinds of lewd characters to collect!
Gacha System
Just as is to be expected from a typical free-to-play Gacha game, Taimanin Collection Battle Arena may appear innocent at first but hides within an ugly monetization model preying on its players. Though it is is not nearly as aggressive as many of its kind, it still plays dirty by forcing artificially crafted limitations on players to make their time enjoying the game a hard one.
By limiting players’ ability to earn blue gems used to unlock character cards, Taimanin Collection Battle Arena without shame offers its players a solution to a problem they have created by selling time savers which can be bought using real money. Though generous enough to allow players to keep playing the game as much as they want, unlike many other Gacha games, playing feels pointless when not being able to make progress. This is why Taimanin Collection is recommended to be played in small bursts.
The game has two currencies, Blue and Red gems – both of which are used to purchase loot boxes from where new character cards can be earned. Through random chance, players can unlock new characters. When unlocking duplicate cards already owned by the player, these are reduced to Game points used as free time savers.
While blue gems can be earned by simply playing the game, red gems are premium ones rarely if ever handed out for free, ones that must be bought using real money. Only with red gems can premium loot boxes be purchased which hold the chance of a rare kind of character card drop. Despite this hurdle, players are not guaranteed to get value for their money as red gem loot boxes can still drop low-tier character cards.
Naturally, for a free-to-play title the developers must earn their money somehow, but instead of encouraging players to support the product, they are almost forced to do so if wanting to keep playing while making progress and unlocking new characters.
Taimanin Collection Battle Arena Hentai
As a card collecting game, Taimanin Collection Battle Arena provides a vast library of well over 600 cards from which many are lewd by nature and even offer hentai as a reward for the player to enjoy once unlocking them to the gallery.
Hentai scenes take the player to a visual novel cutscene featuring a chosen character. Despite the game being in English, these scenes are unfortunately Japanese exclusive, with Lilith never having provided an official translation for them. No matter the lack of English translation, these hentai scenes can still be enjoyed just for their artwork alone.
For a massive library with so many girls, there are plenty of fetishes to go around. From hardcore sex to BDSM, tentacles, machine sex, and a lot more, there is bound to be something for everyone. The overall nature of these scenes leans heavily towards what fans of Taimanin are used to, which means plenty of ahegao facial expressions and extreme cumshots. Without shying away from sensitive content, a small portion of Taimanin Collection’s characters can appear questionable by age.
Many of the characters are drawn in high-quality with slightly differing art styles here and there though mostly consistent throughout. For the ultimate fans of Taimanin, many of the cards featured in Taimanin Collection Battle Arena can be worthy to seek out. However, for everyone else, the journey to unlock all characters may be not worth the trouble, seeing as how the developers do their best to not encourage playing due to artificially crafted paywalls.
When playing Taimanin Collection via Steam, it is without any adult content. To unlock the adult portion of the game when using the Steam version, you must download Taimanin Collection R-18 Patch. As can be seen in the demonstration images below, Taimanin Collection, even with its adult patch, is unfortunately still censored.
Having played Taimanin Collection Battle Arena and enjoyed it for a small while, I can see the appeal in its simplistic design with lewd rewards to chase after, but can only recommend it to a selective few who are truly passionate about Taimanin universe and wish to see more of it.
The game is a fun little time killer thanks to its addictingly challenging Match-up memory card game and jigsaw puzzle, but for how long it can truly entertain one is a question that varies across each player. As a free-to-play title, there is no harm in trying the game out to see if it bites, if only for a day or two.
