ROOM GIRL is a 3D sex simulator developed by ILLUSION which was released in Japan 30th of September 2022, available on DLsite and other online retailers. If you are new to ROOM GIRL, watch the trailer to learn more.
This video showcases almost every single H-animation in the game focused on straight sex. I have highlighted some key features of the sex simulator both good and bad here in the description so you know what to expect from ILLUSION’s latest title when and if it gets localized.

ROOM GIRL Sex Simulator
Following a familiar user interface from previous ILLUSION titles, ROOM GIRL does not add anything new to its 3D sex simulator besides new H-animations. In fact, it actually takes out things from it, more likely due to a lack of care for the overall experience rather than a sound choice.
Within the sex simulator, you are free to choose a location in a room for the characters to have sex. Manipulating characters is restricted only to sex positions, clothes, and the mood of lighting.
Before entering the sex simulator, you are prompted to choose four characters from which the first two will act as the main sex partners, and the other two will fill in the positions for group sex. You are also free to choose a location from a list featuring every playable area found within the main game but they first need to be unlocked.
Character manipulation
You are free to change the characters’ clothing in various ways, either removing parts of them or changing them completely. You can also reveal more skin by moving parts of the clothing away with a simple click of a button.
While manipulating clothes is very convenient and a standard feature found in ILLUSION’s previous titles, it appears that the developer has forgotten to provide a feature to remove clothes from male characters during gameplay – something that is only a few clicks away for the female characters.
This careless “decision” forces the player to go to the character creator and create a naked version of each male character and use those characters in the sex simulator if wanting to have sex with no clothes on. The same is true in opposite terms if the player wishes to switch from a naked male to a clothed one. This is absolutely shocking because it is a very important feature to have and is something that is already in place for female characters who can change, remove, and even add new clothes during gameplay. Male characters feel and are treated like an afterthought as if they originally were not there to begin with.
Location manipulation
In each unique area, whether it is outdoors or indoors, there are several locations to choose from where to have sex. These locations decide what H-animations can be played in them. For example, choosing a table instead of a floor will open up a new list of H-animations focusing on sex on a table.
Things like spanking may only be possible in certain locations within a room and certain maps provide unique H-animations not available in other places. Discovering new H-animations simply by exploring different options certainly keeps the sex simulator full of surprises for the first few hours.
Sex manipulation
When characters are having sex, you are in control of the speed. By moving the mouse wheel up or down, the characters will either slow down or speed up their movement.
Increasing speed will change the animations slightly at certain points to more intense sex in which the female characters start moaning louder (depending on the H-animation) and move more vigorously.
Male characters remain completely silent throughout the session with almost zero facial expressions to express any emotions. Because of this, many of the sex poses can look somewhat awkward when the camera angle shows the male character’s lifeless face. Luckily with the free-roam camera, you are able to find the best camera angle to view the sex for any given pose.
Futanari option
Fans of futanari are happy to learn that ROOM GIRL continues ILLUSION’s tradition of providing the option to turn female characters into futa girls that transform their options in the sex simulator identical to a male character.
Unfortunately, there are no added H-animations for futa characters nor do the characters act any differently around them. It is just a small but welcome feature to allow a new fetish where two female characters can have sex with each other with way more options than what lesbian sex provides which is only a couple of options, barely worth even mentioning.
What is worth mentioning however is that when using a futanari character, the game treats the character as a male, which means that just like male characters who cannot change or remove their clothes during sex, the futanari characters also lose this feature despite being female who have no trouble manipulating clothes during gameplay.
Lesbian option
When wanting to enjoy some girl-on-girl action, the player is still forced to choose two male or futanari characters to enter the session. It is only when inside the sex simulator that the player is able to be in control of which characters will be displayed within the scene.
Choices for lesbian action are extremely limited with only a couple of sex poses that focus on fingering and scissoring. Trying to change location within a room to discover new possibilities for lesbian H-animations will show zero results as there are none.
It is still possible that ILLUSION may expand the library of lesbian H-animations for ROOM GIRL later down the line as they are known to do for their previous titles but you should not expect many new H-animations as it may very well be just a couple of new ones and nothing more.
Overall ROOM GIRL’s sex simulator feels like a lazy developer’s expensive ripoff that asks more than it is worth while giving almost nothing new in return and even ends ups omitting important features.
Nothing about ROOM GIRL strives to improve the sex simulator in any shape or form. It is a carbon copy of AI GIRL yet somehow manages to feel like worse of an experience due to a lack of polish and care.
It provides a very specific purpose for a very restricted experience that can fill the demand for a certain type of audience still searching for a realistic style 3D sex simulator focusing on working women in Japan, but other than that, there is very little reason to recommend it, especially if you already own any of ILLUSION’s recent games.
