Anthophobia is a pixel-styled 2D side-scrolling action survival horror game turned lewd, developed by Terrarium. The game was released on Steam and DLsite on the 9th of December, 2015. Ever since its official release, the game has seen many updates which include bug fixes and new content.
Anthophobia Gameplay
In the wake of a global plant-based pandemic, our protagonist has shut herself in her apartment for some months in hope of survival. Now that her supplies have been exhausted, it is time to face the floral Armageddon and its dangers in search of a new shelter.
The world is falling apart due to an unknown infection. Fight your way through the post-apocalyptic environment and try to survive against hordes of plant-based zombies. There are unique horrifying monsters and bosses to face, as well as NPCs to meet. Also, there are over 75 pixel-animated hentai scenes, 41 illustrations in total, and around 6-8 hours of promised gameplay.
Anthophobia is a title that was recommended to me by a person from my audience some years ago, something that I never got around to cover, but better late than never. Back then, I played the Newgrounds demo version of Anthophobia, and while it was quite interesting, I was too busy with other projects at the time. Luckily, time has done the game a huge favor as it has bloomed into something much more exciting since its early days in development.
Anthophobia has received plenty of positive reviews from its players and the trailer truly showcases the reason for this, it’s a unique experience unlike many other survival horror games out there.
