Play as Mei-Lin in Neo Hong Kong and get ready to solve a supernatural mystery full of horror! Will you survive the Chong Sing apartments, home to all kinds of spirits and oddlings of the night. Sense is a creepy slow-paced paranormal mystery adventure, one with a busty protagonist in a skimpy outfit able to lure an audience of a completely different nature…
Cyberpunk Ghost Story Gameplay
It is the year 2083 and you play a young busty woman named Mei-Lin who is dragged into a paranormal mystery deep within Hong Kong’s neon lights of a cyberpunk dystopia enhanced by the industrial future. Within the ruins of ‘Chong Sing Apartments’ hides a horrifying bloody mystery waiting to be solved. Help Mei-Lin explore the complex, piecing together stories of 14 lost souls and discover the truth of her own family curse.
The game features survival horror and exploration-based gameplay with occasional puzzle-solving. Some items may remain hidden until specific events are taken care of. In order to advance, the player may need to spend time searching and examining the environment for items and clues. Some interactions require a closer inspection which gives a different view of certain items, areas, and puzzles.
NPCs populate certain parts of the world, and by talking to them, they may reveal important information that can prove most beneficial to the player, things like mysteries and secrets, as well as information about the world itself.
The world of Sense is said to be big and complex. Areas that you visit, are beautifully handcrafted to suit the neon light Hong Kong of the year 2083. The art style mixes both 2D and 3D to paint a grim future where the world can be seen within Cybernetic eyes, just like how Mei-Lin navigates her reality that messes with her mind.
Ghosts of the Chong Sing building may be dangerous but they are simply waiting for you to help them pass on. Shrines, offerings, and solving mysteries will be your sword and shield to fight against the supernatural. There are dozens of hidden ghost photos to be found that may reveal a secret in the end.
Typical to survival horror, there are no checkpoints or autosaves in the Chong Sing building. Saving progress happens via random TVs that can be found from time to time. As the world of Sense is a dangerous one filled with deadly spirits and life-threatening events, it is recommended to save progress as often as possible.
You may find decent replay value in Sense as there are secrets that will only be revealed in the “plus” mode, thus encouraging players to play the game more than once.
Sense is not a hentai game, an easy mistake to make by those familiar with the content featured on this site. Thanks to the overly sexualized characters in the game that provide simple eye candy for the player, Sense was able to make the cut to be featured here. Similar to Livestream: Escape from Hotel Izanami, its core audience lies in the horror genre who are looking for a stylized and atmospheric horror experience.
If you enjoy horror games but are craving to see full-fledged adult content in them, there are not many games in that genre that can be recommended at the moment but Anthophobia and Sinisistar are a good place to start.
