I want to take a moment to talk about a game that has recently captured my attention: The Callisto Protocol. As someone who loves horror games, I was immediately drawn to this one as it takes inspiration from one of my favorite games, Dead Space.
I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere of the game. The setting, the Black Iron Prison on Callisto, was incredibly well-designed and made me feel like I was truly trapped in this dark and sinister place. The graphics were top-notch and added to the overall creepy feel of the game.
The first hours of the storyline were intriguing, following protagonist Jacob Lee as he tries to uncover the truth behind what’s happening in the prison and escape before it’s too late. I won’t give any spoilers though.
However, I will admit that the game was not without its flaws. Many people had high expectations for it, and while it was good, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. Some of the gameplay mechanics were a bit clunky, and there were a few times when I felt like the game was more frustrating than fun.
Despite this, I still enjoyed my journey from start to finish (The final boss was a total joke though!). The game provided a lot of inspiration for my art, and I even decided to start a short comic project based on the game. In this comic, I will be focusing on Dani’s time spent in the UJC-operated Black Iron prison, both before and after things go wrong.
I hope you will enjoy this new project, and if you haven’t played “The Callisto Protocol” yet, I do recommend it despite its flaws. Whether you’re a fan of horror games or just love a good sci-fi thriller, I think you’ll find a lot to love in this game.
Thank you for reading, and I can’t wait to share more about my The Callisto Protocol comic with you soon!
